Common use

Dulcolax is commonly used for the short-term relief of occasional constipation. It is also frequently employed in medical settings to evacuate the bowel prior to surgery, colonoscopy, or other diagnostic procedures. Patients find it useful for re-establishing regularity after changes in diet, routine, travel, or medication use that may contribute to transient constipation. It is not intended for long-term daily use or for chronic constipation without medical supervision.

Take 1 to 3 tablets (5 mg to 15 mg) orally once daily, preferably at bedtime. Swallow whole with a full glass of water; do not crush or chew.
